Traditional Chinese Medicine, 2013
2013, Inkjet print, 23 x 36 inch x 32 pieces
Traditional Chinese Medicine draws inspirations from Chinese traditional water colour paintings. It expresses the concept of “oneness” in Zen philosophy. By using a micro lens, I blew up the shapes, details and textures of Chinese herbal medicines that I used when I was sick. Within the large prints I discover great landscapes where these one-square-inch big herbal medicines originally come from - mountains, rocks, cliffs. What was concealed within the small reveals the big.
